Course Overview
What this VB.NET Programming course covers, how to use it, prerequisites.
A structured, hands-on course on Visual Basic .NET and the .NET platform. It runs from language fundamentals to the CLR internals, object-oriented and functional programming, LINQ, async/parallel programming, the modern .NET hosting stack (dependency injection, configuration, logging), data access, desktop and service applications, design patterns, SOLID and clean architecture, testing, performance, security, and deployment.
Targets Visual Basic 16.9 on .NET 8 / 9 / 10 (with notes for .NET Framework 4.8). The VB language is stable: Microsoft supports it on modern .NET for WinForms, WPF, console, class libraries, worker services, and Web API, but it doesn't add major new language features.
📘 *Companion course:* the Visual Basic course on this site covers the broader VB family (VBA, VB6, the My namespace in depth). This course goes deeper into VB.NET and .NET engineering.
