Capstone Projects
A shared guestbook (Sui) or per-account guestbook resource (Aptos) with messages, timestamps, and user profiles (name, avatar URL); events for every post; a small React frontend with wallet connection.
Project 1 — On-chain guestbook & profile (beginner)
A shared guestbook (Sui) or per-account guestbook resource (Aptos) with messages, timestamps, and user profiles (name, avatar URL); events for every post; a small React frontend with wallet connection. *Concepts: packages, structs, vectors, strings, events, Clock/timestamp, SDK basics, wallet adapters.*
Project 2 — Fungible token with vesting (beginner/intermediate)
Launch a coin (Sui Coin/Aptos FA) with a fixed supply, team allocation in vesting objects that unlock linearly over time, and a claim function; full unit tests with time manipulation. *Concepts: one-time witness / FA refs, TreasuryCap / MintRef, time, arithmetic safety, tests.*
Project 3 — NFT collection with dynamic traits (intermediate)
A 10,000-item collection with allowlist minting, Display (Sui) or Digital Asset metadata (Aptos), upgradable traits stored in dynamic fields / extra object resources, and royalties via transfer policies. *Concepts: objects, Display, Publisher, dynamic fields, Kiosk / Token Objects, capabilities.*
Project 4 — Escrow & OTC desk (intermediate)
Trustless object-for-object and object-for-coin swaps with expiry, cancellation, and partial fills for fungible orders; frontend shows open offers via an indexer. *Concepts: shared objects, wrapping, generics with constraints, events, indexers, PTBs.*
Project 5 — AMM DEX with LP staking (advanced)
Extend the Chapter 42 AMM: factory with a pool registry, protocol fees, TWAP oracle, router functions for multi-hop swaps in one PTB/script, and an LP staking farm with reward-per-share accounting. *Concepts: phantom types, Supply/Balance or FA, safe math, composability, gas optimization, security review.*
Project 6 — Lending protocol with flash loans (advanced)
Deposit/borrow markets with interest-rate models, collateral factors, liquidations, oracle integration (Pyth or Switchboard), and flash loans using a hot-potato receipt. *Concepts: hot potato, oracles, precision math, shared object design, invariants, Move Prover specs.*
Project 7 — On-chain game with randomness (advanced)
A dungeon crawler where heroes (objects) equip items (wrapped / dynamic object fields), fight monsters using on-chain randomness, earn closed-loop reward tokens, and trade items in a Kiosk-based marketplace; sponsored transactions so new players pay no gas. *Concepts: object composition, randomness security, Sui Token / FA, Kiosk, sponsored transactions, zkLogin / Keyless.*
Project 8 — DAO with treasury & upgrade governance (expert)
Token-weighted governance with delegation, timelocks, proposal types as enums, a multi-asset treasury, and control of the protocol's UpgradeCap (Sui) or upgrade authority (Aptos) through passed proposals; formally verify vote-tally invariants. *Concepts: hot-potato approvals, enums, capabilities, upgrade policies, Move Prover, indexer-backed frontend.*
